Gettin’ Started

For most of our recipes you will need a large, black iron skillet. The Robertson's are very particular about their iron skillets; every daughter-in-law has received a set of "seasoned" iron skillets as a wedding gift, and dogs and kids have gotten licks over messing up a good iron skillet. They are even taken on family vacations (Miss Kay's cooking just isn't the same without them!)

You will, of course, also need Phil Robertson's Cajun Seasoning, Marinade, and Rub. And you will have to know how to cook your white rice just right, and how to make some good biscuits (we're pretty particular about how to cook these staples as well.)
