Q: Tell us about your role when you hunt with the rest of the Duckmen:
A: Before moving to Arkansas, I held the glamorous position of decoy technician, a job now held by the one and only John Godwin who does a much better job then I ever did. Now when I show up to hunt they treat me like Company - sit down, stay down, don't miss, and don't always follow through on the last one. It's a well oiled machine when you get in the blind; you just have to figure out which duck will still be alive when you shoot at it.
Q: You are now the head of Duckmen Kennels, tell us about it:
A: Duckmen Kennels is a kennel focused on breeding dogs for the serious duck hunter. Our dogs will hunt and have been bred for performance but also to live in your house and play with your kids. Our belief is that if one of our females can't keep up with the everyday life of the Duckmen, then she won't be bred. She has to prove that she can get it! Once proven, we will breed her to one of the top Field Trial dogs who has the proven desire and trainability that you are looking for.
